Our first trip was scheduled in the event we had to have the RV towed back to Salem. We were under the delusion that we could drive our RV to a local RV campsite, Silver Falls State Park, and uncover all the things that needed fixing…that didn’t quite happen (see the Xmas 2016 trip)

Silver Falls is a great place for hiking, connecting with nature and breathing in the cold mist coming from the waterfalls. Silver Falls has to be one of the most beautiful places on earth. In the spring there are 11 falls. There is a beautiful old lodge with an immense fireplace. Winter time is one of the best times to go to the park. A cup of hot chocolate in the lodge with a roaring fire is very satisfying.
