1. Check your package. You should have approximately 5 ft of 5/8” cord, one 1/4“ x 2 5/8” screw- eye suitable for anchoring in wood frames or cabinetry.

2. Stand inside the RV facing the exit door. Typically the door opens on your right side and is hinged to your left. Select a mounting spot for the screw eye 1 to 2 inches from the door opening and near the top corner of the door frame. This will allow the cord to hang inside without getting caught in the door opening. Using 1/8” drill, drill a hole into the door frame about 1 inch deep. Screw in the screw-eye tightly so all the screw thread is buried and the eye is horizontal. If this location is not suitable move to 3.

3. If there is a cabinet side within a few inches of the door opening it can be used to secure the screw-eye instead of into the door frame (as in photo above). Drill a 1/8” hole through the cabinet side which should be at least 5/8” thick. Screw in the screw eye tightly so all the screw thread is buried and the eye is horizontal.

4. Take the cord and tie a knot in one end leaving about 1” of cord protruding above the knot, then tighten. Take the cord and pass the free end into the eye from the top so the knot rests flat on the eye. Sit down on the top step or RV floor facing the open door. Grab the cord and try to lift yourself up using the cord. This will test the security of your installation.

5. Tie another knot on the lower end of the cord to provide a grip point when exiting the RV. (Some folks tie two knots about 8 inches apart). Your installation is now complete.

1. How to Place an Order?

Click on the “Buy it Now!” menu above –>Select “Add to Cart”–>Click on “View Cart” button on the same page –>on the Cart page(if you are ready to pay) click on –>”Proceed to Checkout” button–>fill out the required fields and then click on the “Proceed to Paypal” button. At this point you are logging into Paypal to pay for your RV Ripcord.
 

2. How can I check my order status?

Login to your account and click on orders.  The status of your order will be listed there.

3. How do I know my order has been confirmed?

You will receive an email that your order has been received.  Once the order is shipped you will receive notification of shipment.

1. What are the available payment methods?

Paypal is our processor.  As such Paypal accepts credit/debit cards if you do not have a Paypal account. 

2. Is there any hidden charges on any purchase at your store

No.

1. Why I am unable to login?

Your login information could be incorrect.  Recover your password and try logging in again.  Use the “lost password” link on the Account Login panel to recover your password.

2. Is registration necessary to place an order?

Yes.

3. Can I update my personal information in my profile?

Yes.

4. What should I do if I have trouble with logging in?

Send an email with your login information and we will check out the issue as soon as possible.

1. How can I return a product?

Send an email to support@rvripcord.com requesting a replacement.  We will send you the necessary information for returning the product.

2. When will I receive my replacement item?

As soon as we have received the returned product we will ship you a replacement.

3. Within how many days I can ask for a replacement?

30 days.

1. How can I track my order?

Once the package has shipped you will receive a shipping notification and a tracking number.  Go to USPS.gov/tracking and enter the tracking number.

2. How can I get my orders delivered faster?

Use Priority shipping.

3. Do you ship internationally?

No.

4. What happens to undelivered orders?

They are returned to our company.  We will then attempt to contact you to discover the issue as to why the package was not delivered.

6. What is the estimated delivery time?

3-5 business days.

1. Can I cancel my order and ask for a refund?

Yes, if your order has not shipped, then you will be issued a full refund.

2. I've still not received the refund to my bank account. Why?

It can take up to two weeks for a refund to be processed by the credit card or banks.  If you still have not received your refund in two weeks, please send us an email and we will research the issue.

3. What are your refund policies?

If you wish to return the RV Ripcord there is a 30% restocking fee and you will have to pay for postage.  Postage will not be refunded.  Please verify that you have a proper mounting surface in your RV before ordering. Please send an email to info@rvripcord.com with your order number and date of order. 

4. What are the different modes of refund available?

We will only refund back to the card or paypal account that was used to order the product.
